The Western Beaches Tunnel project is a major upgrade to Toronto’s waterfront stormwater collection and treatment system. The 3 km tunnel connects a series of retention chambers and shafts along Lake Shore Boulevard West, improving stormwater management before discharge into Lake Ontario.

ASCO’s scope included upgrades to process equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, as well as structural, architectural, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), and site works.

These improvements enhance stormwater control and significantly improve water quality along Toronto’s waterfront, benefiting surrounding beaches and public spaces.
