The Cornwall Fire Station project is a $15.9 million contract to construct a new fire station headquarters and training facility on Tollgate Road West in Cornwall, ON. The facility is designed to meet the full operational, administrative, and training requirements of the fire department and incorporates a wide range of specialized spaces and building systems.

The headquarters component includes administrative offices, duty offices, dispatch and communications areas, meeting rooms, and ancillary support spaces to support effective emergency services management. Apparatus bays were constructed to house multiple fire and emergency response vehicles, with dedicated mechanical and electrical systems for maintenance, storage, and rapid deployment.

A purpose-built training center was integrated into the facility, featuring classrooms, simulation environments, and training props to deliver instruction for firefighting, rescue, and emergency response. The building also includes residential-style accommodations, dormitories, kitchen and dining facilities, fitness and wellness spaces, and dayroom areas, to support 24-hour staffing. All major building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, IT/data, and security) were designed and installed to meet codes and performance standards.

Site development works included grading, drainage, landscaping, paving, and utility connections, ensuring a fully functional, durable, and code-compliant headquarters and training complex.

Construction was impacted by client-driven changes, dewatering requirements, and winter delays. The original project budget of $15,089,529.51 was revised to a final cost of $15,887,925.41. The initial schedule of May 2023 to February 2025 was extended, with substantial completion now scheduled for July 2025.
