ASCO was awarded this $8.7M aquatic centre addition for the City of Cornwall. Although all initial bids exceeded the project budget, ASCO worked closely with the City, the consultant team, and subcontractors to lead a value engineering process that achieved significant cost savings while maintaining project intent.

Construction began in spring 2004 and was completed in July 2005. The 21,000 sq. ft. facility includes a six-lane competition pool, children’s play pool, water slide, splash pool, whirlpool, and full change room facilities. Due to site conditions, the structure was built on a pile foundation with grade beams.

The result is a modern recreational facility that meets the needs of the community while aligning with the City’s budget and timeline.
