This project consisted of an addition to the Biosolids Storage Facility to accommodate the expansion of the Barrie Water Pollution Control Centre from 57.1 MLD to 76 MLD. This work included the expansion of and modifications to existing equipment, piping, and structures, plus the following new process units being added:
• Cast-in-place concrete Biosolids storage tanks - one rectangular storage tank and three rectangular decant cells with a total liquid capacity of 15,000,000 liters;
• New Pipe Gallery and Offices;
• Three sludge/supernatant transfer pumps;
• Sludge Mixing System;
• Truck Loading and Unloading System;
• Sludge Valve Chamber;
• Wash water System;
• Tipping through tank flushing system in three decant cells.
