The Grand Theatre is Kingston's Civil Arts Center and the prime Performing Arts Theatre in the region. It provides an important venue for professional and amateur performances and features ballet, modern dance, drama, comedy, and classical and contemporary music concerts.

ASCO successfully completed the two tendered phases of construction, which included the initial demolition of and extensive renovations to this heritage building. Phase two of this $12.4M project included major structural and masonry renovations, a new stage with state of the art sound and lighting, and new seating.
