Located in the City of Oshawa, ASCO began construction of this new $3.5M sewage pumping station in December of 2004. The plant was put into service in January 2006 to accommodate a nearby expanded residential development that relied on this facility to receive the sewage flows and then pump it further downstream to the Durham Region Sewage Treatment Plant.
The Pumphouse itself contains a standby generator, flow meters and odour control system, and is positioned overtop of a 40' deep 'Wet Well' consisting of a reinforced concrete raft slab, walls and suspended slab with channel grinders and outfitted with 3,8" wastewater pumps capable of collectively delivering over 35 million liters of sewage per day.
The completion date was critical to the client and was successfully achieved by ASCO.
