Located on the site of the existing Harmony Creek Water Pollution Control Plant in the City of Oshawa, this $11,550,000 project consisted of the construction of a New Sewage Pumping Station with an initial capacity of 171 million litres per day, with the ability to be expanded to reach an ultimate capacity of 331 million litres per day. Sewage flows from this plant are transferred via a 6.2 km underground conveyance system to the new Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant which was being constructed concurrently (by another Contractor).

The Harmony Creek SPS Project consisted of:
- A reinforced junction chamber and mixing chamber constructed around the existing inlet sewers;
- New 2100 mm and 1500 mm inlet sewers conveying sewage from chambers to station;
- Concrete splitting and overflow chambers and a 1800mm overflow pipeline;
- Sewage Pumping Station
- 1050 mm Forcemain to a site boundary pipeline provided by others;
- Electrical Substation, including provision of Emergency Standby Power Generation;
- Roadways, yard piping, utilities to facilities, instrumentation, and controls.

The schedule was extremely critical as the Pumping Station had to be completed and operational prior to the new Courtice WPCP was ready to receive sewage flows.

This project was successfully completed within the budgetary and schedule constraints and, in conjunction with the Courtice WPCP, was awarded the "2008 Public Works Project of the Year" by the Ontario Public Works Association.
